A total of 2,000 kilos of ecological mandarins, full of flavor and solidarity, have been harvested at L’Hort de L’Alé in Pedreguer to help those in need. The harvesting took place on Saturday, November 23 and 30, thanks to the joint efforts of volunteers from Cáritas Xàbia, the Red Cross, and the Christian Olmos Foundation.
Most of these mandarins were distributed to families in Catarroja affected by the DANA storm, providing essential support during difficult times.
The initiative was organized under the coordination of the president of the Pascual Olmos Foundation and involved representatives from Cáritas of the parishes of Sant Bertomeu in Xàbia and Sant Miquel in Catarroja. Additionally, a group of young people from Xàbia, currently preparing for their confirmation, actively participated in the activity, highlighting the engagement of youth in this solidarity-driven cause.
